A unique and often critical service offering is Fiber Optic Characterization (FOC). Prior to the purchase of valuable telecommunications equipment, customers may choose to test for fiber integrity to verify these specific characteristics of the fiber:
ORL – Optical Return Loss
CD – Chromatic Dispersion
PMD – Polarized Modal Dispersion
Bi-Directional OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer)
FOC Testing helps to minimize costly redesigns, delays in project completions, and system degradation.
